Spider Mite Killer Control Amblyseius Californicus Predators Premium Sachets
Regular price £4.99

Amblyseius californicus is an effective predator of two spotted mite (Tetranychus urticae) commonly known as red spider mite.

These californicus predators come in a unique, high tech foil sachet. Given its ability to scavenge and use alternative food sources Californicus can survive for around 10 days without spider mite being present. This makes them ideal as a preventative measure.

Each sachet will slowly release predators for around 3 weeks, protecting the plant from outbreaks during this time.

Please ensure you have read the appropriate conditions for using Californicus before purchase, these can be found below.

Benefits of Foil vs Paper Sachets

  • Each high-tech foil sachet can produce up to 3000 predators! Compared to paper sachets which release around 250
  • Superior quality foil sachet ensures the breeding system has perfect internal conditions, leading to larger numbers of higher quality healthier predators
  • Foil sachets ensure the breeding system is better protected against any environmental conditions such as temperature, dampness from watering, humidity etc
  • Foil sachets are compostable and can be disposed of together with plant waste

When Should I use Californicus Sachets?

We advise applying sachets as a preventative system against spider mites. This means having an active sachet on plants at all times, from propagation to full growth.

DO NOT apply if you have used chemical treatments in the past 2 weeks.

What conditions does Californicus need?

Temperatures should be between 10-35 degrees and ideally a relative humidity above 60% however lower levels can be endured by Californicus.

How many Californicus sachets do I need?

Based on an average plant 1m in height. We recommend the following application rate;

1-2 sachets per plant

Chemical Pesticides

Californicus is a living creature and can be affected by any chemical pesticides used within the previous few weeks. As a guide cease using pyrethrum or SB plant invigorator 2 days prior to use and other persistent chemicals or universal bug killers 1-2 weeks before using Californicus.

Warning; Amblyseius californicus is a non native predator and can only be applied indoors and in glasshouses. By purchasing this product you are agreeing to these restrictions.
