Description
Description
Rhino Pro carbon filters take odours and VOCs out of the air leaving your grow room or tent. Each one is packed with a deep 50mm bed of virgin Australian RC4-12 activated carbon, so it keeps working for a long time. Rhino rate the Pro range at up to around two years in normal conditions.
The aluminium casing keeps the weight down, and the outer mesh has a 51% open area so air is drawn evenly across the carbon. A coned base inside the filter spreads the airflow along its full length, and the carbon is machine packed so it stays dense and does not settle over time.
Key features
- 50mm carbon bed of virgin Australian RC4-12 activated carbon
- Machine-packed carbon for a dense, even bed
- 51% open-area outer mesh for even airflow over the carbon
- Coned internal base to spread air through the whole filter
- Lightweight aluminium construction
- Working life of up to around two years in normal use
- 11 sizes, from 100mm to 315mm flange
Choosing a size
Sizes are shown as flange diameter x filter length, in millimetres. Pick a flange that matches your fan and ducting, and a filter whose maximum airflow is equal to or a little above your fan's output, so the air spends enough time in contact with the carbon.
Technical specifications
| Size (mm) | Flange | Length | Max airflow | Carbon bed |

| 250 x 1000 | 250mm (10") | 1000mm | 1,900 m³/h | 50mm |
| 315 x 600 | 315mm (12") | 600mm | 2,440 m³/h | 50mm |
| 315 x 1000 | 315mm (12") | 1000mm | 3,250 m³/h | 50mm |
| 315 x 1200 | 315mm (12") | 1200mm | 3,600 m³/h | 50mm |
Airflow figures are Rhino's maximum ratings for each filter.
Tips
- Fit the fan as close to the filter as you can so it pulls air evenly through the carbon.
- Very damp air shortens carbon life, so keep humidity under control.
- Pairs well with the Rhino Ultra EC fans, silenced or non-silenced.
